On Your Own Activities - provides information for On Your Own activities as a resource for those living inside as well as those living outside the immediate geographic area. There is a growing list of ideas for projects that families, classes, or groups can organize and complete on their own. These activities offer maximum flexibility - leaving the time, location, benefactor up to the participant.

Global Opportunities - One of the primary goals of is to help young people understand that the world is much bigger than their own back yard and that it is important to be an active participant in the global community. To that end, we provide information for global opportunites - specific activities with international organizations and on your own projects that kids of all ages can pursue.

Educational Information & Resources - offers a growing list of resources and educational materials to its constituents, including links to similar websites, articles and books on the topics of volunteerism, civic engagement, social justice and related issues. also provides assistance to those volunteers wanting to enhance their experience with tips for meaningful reflection.

Community Calendar & Online Registration - hosts an online calendar that posts all sorts of community events - activities that occur on a regular or semi-regular basis as well as special events. All folks have to do is to click on the event that they interested in - a pop-up window will appear with event details and the opportunity to RSVP through online registration.

Activities & Events - activities and events are organized expressly for families who want to volunteer together. These activities serve the dual purpose of providing a specific activity that requires the family to only register and show up (i.e. takes care of all of the legwork and coordination) and also creates a venue for like-minded families to meet one another, building a network of family volunteers in the local community.

Consulting - provides one-on-one assistance to parents, older youth, group leaders (school teachers, church group, scouting, homeschool networks etc.) and agency staff that are looking for ideas or assistance in organizing an individual activity or group event. We have also consulted with workplaces that are trying to engage employees in community service - helping them to create family-friendly opportunities for their workers.

Online Tools - Bulletin Board & Discussion Forum - The provides parents and groups a venue for publicizing kid-friendly community service projects or events that they are spearheading. It is also available to groups who want a forum to organize similar events.Coming soon!! A discussion board that enables people to log in and network with others interested in pursuing child and youth community involvement. Individuals can log in and post questions or comments, share and discuss ideas with others thinking about the same issue, age group, activity. This tool will also provide a service to folks interested in organizing a project or activity - as they can post information and enlist the help of others.

New Supporters for Non-profits - provides the agencies we work with and post information for a valuable tool for recruitment. Exposure to their organization and mission are just the start. They will potentially gain new volunteers - the kids or youth as well as the parents - and new donors. Even people who do not become directly involved will hear about their work as Kids Connect participants and supporters share with their friends, neighbors and co-workers.
