Service Opportunity: Meal Delivery
Service Description : Deliver noon meal on weekdays to homebound elderly and disabled citizens. Entire time commitment usually one hour that can be done between 11:00 am - 1:15 PM up to volunteer.
Great for individuals who want to commit to a regular route or a group that wants a route then rotate volunteering between members.

Agency Description: Since 1974, Meals on Wheels has been providing nutritious meals to the homebound elderly and persons with disabilities in Wake County in an effort to improve health, reduce isolation, and prevent inappropriate institutionalization. Serving close to 1,500 meals daily to homes and nutrition centers, Meals on Wheels provides the frailest of our community’s citizens with a voice to achieve healthful independence.

Weekdays. Volunteers can also commit to meal delivery as frequently as they choose - weekly, monthly, bimonthly on a day of their preference. Groups could commit to a regular slot and then coordinate a rotation or schedule among themselves.
