Junior League of Raleigh is coordinating efforts with the
Triangle Chapter of the Red Cross.
Bush-Clinton
Katrina Fund - http://www.bushclintonkatrinafund.org/
- Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund, which will serve to fill in the
gaps and unmet needs that arise in the months and possibly
years ahead in this recovery effort. The fund will work under
our direction as we work primarily with the Governors of Louisiana,
Mississippi & Alabama, but also with established national
& local organizations, who are working directly with those
affected, in identifying and funding these gaps. Check out

Food
Bank of North Carolina - http://www.foodbanknc.org/disaster/relief.asp
- The
Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina reacts immediately
to serve victims of hurricanes and floods throughout the southeast
without disrupting regular food distribution to 34 counties
in North Carolina. The America’s Second Harvest Network of
food banks has activated its Disaster Assistance Team and
is working in conjunction with the Federal Emergency Management
Agency and the Red Cross to provide disaster relief supplies
to victims of the recent hurricanes. The Food Bank is working
in tandem with this national effort to ensure that needed
food and non-food essentials are collected and delivered to
victims of these catastrophic disasters. Go to the website

Habitat

- Through fundraisers and building projects, HFHI is responding
to the Gulf Coast disasters.
Leukemia
& Lymphoma Society's School & Youth Program -

Your donation to the School & Youth campaign will also help
rebuild blood cancer treatment centers and patient support

National
MS Society; Eastern NC Chapter - http://164.109.176.246/hurricane.asp
Help the thousands of people with MS, their families and those
who serve them by donating funds to the Society so we can
assist our chapters provide needed services in the area impacted
by Katrina and restore operations. All contributions received
will be restricted to disaster relief providing assistance
to people with MS and MS operation in the areas most severely

Rural
Advancement Foundation International -

- Located in Pittsboro, NC, RAFI is responding to an invitation
from Gulf-Coast non-profits to deliver disaster-recovery services
to farmers in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. RAFI will
help maximize the number of farm families who receive disaster
aid by providing individual assistance to farmers and coordinating
training for non-profit and agency farm advisors who will
then assist farmers in gaining access to programs. In addition,
RAFI staff members are drawing on their extensive knowledge
of how disaster programs work for farmers to push for federal
disaster assistance policies that support farm families. For

Chance Pet Adoptions
