About Kids Connect

At Kids Connect, we believe that one of the greatest gifts we can give our kids is helping them develop the capacity to care about others and the community as a whole.

Kids Connect supports and facilitates kids engaging in positive, community building experiences. We work to accomplish this objective by providing a variety of resources and services to kids, young adults, parents, teachers, group leaders as well as local agencies and national and international organizations.

Kids Connect strives to provide opportunities for kids of all ages to learn these critical lessons with their parents. Both through active participation and attentive spectating, kids can "get it". It is never too early to involve kids in activities that benefit the community.

Kids Connect was created by Elizabeth Jordan in the fall of 2005. The organization has grown from an idea that evolved after the birth of her son, Jack. Like all parents, she began thinking about what lessons she wanted to teach him, what experiences she wanted to share with him, what core values she wanted to instill in him. After talking with others, she quickly realized there was a need in our community for a central portal of information, tools and resources related to engaging young people in service. With the work and support of local friends and parents, our initiative continues to grow and develop.
